‘Self-reliant, healthy and equitable society’
Self-reliant refers to a situation where target communities are capable of fulfilling their basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, education and health care and are able to make decisions.
Healthy and equitable society refers to a group of people living together by accepting each other’s co-existence despite having different classes, castes and statuses. People have equal access to and control over resources and opportunities. Mutual understanding and harmony are the key components of the society.
